 Event Date : 02 Dec, 2025
Description: A tobacco awareness session was conducted in the school on 2nd December 2025 for the students of Classes VII, VIII, IX and for the students from Punjabi Medium School. The session aimed to educate young learners about the harmful effects of tobacco and to encourage them to build healthy habits from an early age. The session was led by Dr. Usha Goyal, a highly experienced medical professional and District Nodal Officer of the National Tobacco Control Programme. She explained, in simple and relatable terms, how tobacco affects the body, why young people must stay away from it, and how awareness can protect families and communities. At the end of the session, all students took a pledge promising not to use tobacco and to encourage others to stay away from it as well. Overall, the session encouraged students to stay away from unhealthy practices and to spread the message of a tobacco-free lifestyle among peers, friends, and neighbours.
