AWARENESS SESSION ON HAIR DONATION

Description:
An awareness session on hair donation for wig-making was conducted on 19th May 2025, for the teachers of St Joseph's Convent School, led by Dr Sapna Bhatti, Oncologist at AIIMS, Bathinda. The session aimed to educate teachers on the importance of hair donation and how it can positively impact the individuals suffering from hair loss due to medical conditions such as cancer. She explained the mininum hair length required for donation and mentioned organizations that accept hair donations. Emphasizing the emotional and psychological benefits of receiving wigs, the session highlighted how such donations restore confidence and dignity in the patients.
